Most people don't think about their fuel tanks - until they fail.The ethanol additive to gasoline damages fiberglass tanks. Even metal tanks can fail. Replacement tanks are widely avaiable. The challange is accessing the tank. Often, a boat is literaly built around the tank. When the tank in this trawler failed, the builder confirmed that the most efficient access to the tank was through the side.

Cutting the Hull

This tank was built by Weidman Construction. Once it was properly installed, we re-built the hull.
